Using Doubles And Halving Timetables.


Use this working out to show the answers for the other beads


1.
There are 5 beads in each row.
5+5=10
2 groups of 5 is 10
2x5=10





There are 7 beads in each row.
8+8=16
2 groups of 8=16
2x8=16





Example: 5 + 5 is the same as 2 x 5= 10
  1. 6 + 6 is the same as 2 x 6=12
  2. 7+7 is the same as 2 x 7=14
  3. 7+7 is the same as 2 x 7=14
  4. 8+8 is the same as 2 x 8=16
  5. 9+9 is the same as 2 x 9=18
  6. 10 is the same as 2 x 10=20

Example: If 2 x 3= 6 then 4 x 3= 12
  1. If 2 x 4=8 then 4 x 4=16
  2. If 25 x 2=50 then 25 x 4=100
  3. If 2 x 40=80 then 4 x 40=160
  4. If 2 x 7=14 then 2 x 7=14
