WALT reflect on our maori culture

Today our class Room 9 & 10 presented their work , that they have been researching about their culture and my culture was the Maori tribe.It was a really hard task to do because of the information I had to do when I was researching about the maori culture.There are information that tells you about how John Key sometimes treats the maori tribe eg-NO Waitangi day and No cooking hangi in the ground.There is going to be more information on the google slides then there is on the description.

Technology Reflection

WALT reflect on technology

Today for our technology session the year 8 had their last session for pewter casting.Some people had and haven't finished there necklace but our pewter casting tutor said he will finish it off for us and bring it down to our school.I made a king crown necklace for some I admire and who has always been there for me.It has been a really great technology session with our pewter casting tutor (Mr Grundy).

Technology Reflection

Today for technology I have nearly finished my necklace but I got a bit more sandpapering to do.Pewter Casting is a group of people that learns how to make real necklaces and making it look like it just got brought from the shops.What I did was a king crown and I chose that to do because of someone in my life who was always their for me when I needed him and that is my dad.

This task is all about me explaining , what makes a good reader and writer??...To me I think , what makes people good readers and writers is that when you think of something in your head , you will want to make it into a story and maybe you will want to put your imagination into a movie , like the movie and book , Harry Potter by J.K Rowling.She made this book because when she was younger , she was surrounded by books and her mum and dad loved reading.She lived with books and started reading and writing for her whole entire life and that's why she started making movies.J.K Rowling first had the idea for Harry Potter as she was travelling to London in a train in 1990.

Today I have create a build up statement that will help other people stay positive and to love life.The word I came up with that will make people love life is to STAY POSITIVE and the reason why I chose that word was because all I see is people saying they hate their life but no , if you want a life you want , you have to stay positive.

Attitude Programme

WALT reflect on our attitude session

Today this morning we have had a guy come in to our class and taught us about making choices while being with your friends.What he taught us was that there are three main words that means the most to the attitude programme , Genes , Environment and Choices.They chose those words because those are the only words that mean the most to the attitude programme.

His name was Dan and he came from South Africa.When he taught us things about choosing friends and making good choices , he gave us a booklet that tells us everything about the part of growing up in different stages.The one thing that he said , that I really like was "If you fail one thing , it don't make you a failure"
and he taught us that their are 4 animals that represents our personalities

• Lion-Being a leader and sometimes being bossy - "let's do it my way"
• Otter-Makes everything fun in every way and makes people laugh - "let's do it the fun way"
• Golden Retriever-Cares about people and makes peace - "let's keep the peace"
• Beaver-Who focuses on task and works hard - "let's do it the right way"

ANZAC reflection

WALT reflect on our school ceremony about ANZAC

Today TPS had a ceremony about ANZAC.We were celebrating ANZAC because we wanted to show respect to them.Some soldiers were family to some people in our school and the things we did at the ceremony was that we sang the New Zealand National Anthem and the Australian National Anthem , while standing up for the last post.It was a great ceremony , celebrating ANZAC.

Terrific Technology

WALT reflect on our technology session

Today for technology we went to Tamaki College to carry on with our things we did from last term.What I did was that I have finally finished the filing part and I am now on the sandpapering part which makes it shiny and smooth.It was a great start at technology for this term and I have enjoyed our technology teacher who makes us work faster.
