Today I went to technology to finish off my necklace.I have been using the tools to fix up my necklace and with this tasks I have talked about what I did at technology , What I learnt and What I will focus on at technology.I am up to the part of tooling it to make it look way better than it looks right now.

Caring for our environment

WALT create a list of things on how we can care for our environment

With this tasks I have create a video that shows how we can care for our environment.Its got pictures , music and phrases that represents the picture and with this tasks I looked at all the pictures (Caring for our environment) and it took me to heaps of pictures on how we can look after our community.1 of the reasons is the best reasons because with this reason everyone seems to do it (Littering).

Terrific Technology

WALT reflect on technology

Today at technology I have been creating necklaces for my brother.It was a kings crown and when I cut the necklace it was how I wanted it and it was a big mess up.Their were heaps of people who have finished their cutting out part but they are now on to the filing part / fixing it up part because the metal is now put in the cardboard.

School Values

WALT create definitions for our school values

This tasks is all about the definitions for our school values.We have 5 school values , Rangimarie , Whanaungatanga , Tukumarie , Ako and Manaakitanga and they all have meanings like Rangimarie means Peace , Ako means learn and Manaakitanga means caring for others.I haven't put a lot of effort into this tasks it's because we were only aloud to create a DLO (Digital Learning Object) on what the words meant.

WALT reflect on what we did at technology today

I have been at technology today with Mr Grundy at Tamaki College.I have reflected on what I have did at technology and I explained what kind of pewter casting and I am doing a kings crown for someone I love.It was my brother that I chose because he is always their when I need him at home and at school and I love him the way he is.

Country that needs Peace!!!

WALT investigate a country that needs peace

This task is all about a country that needs peace and I chose Isis / Iraq because they are one of the main countries that needs peace.I was a tasks that everyone had to do because this term for inquiry we are focusing on our school values , Rangimarie , Manaakitanga , Whanaungatanga and Tukumarie and they all have a meaning.Rangimarie means Peace , Manaakitanga means Caring for others , Whanaungatanga means Building relationships and Tukumarie means Tolerance.So for this tasks I chose the value Rangimarie (Peace) because it matches with my tasks.

The tasks that I completed is all about a Brian spider.A Brian spider is a spider that can eat big things and can lay on water.The new spider is called a Brian spider after a scientists called Professor Brian Greene.This article is all about a spider that can do things that other spiders can't do.It was a really good article that I read and if you want more about this article I will give you the link.

Te Whare Tapa Wha

WALT reflect about Te Whare Tapa Wha and our School Values

On Tuesday 8 of March Room 10 / Kia Manawanui class has been working on Te Whare Tapa Wha / 4 dimensions.It was a tasks about what the 4 dimensions mean like What does Taha Hinengaro mean?? , What does Taha Whanau mean?? , What does Taha Tinana mean?? , and What does Taha Wairua mean.All of those meanings is what I am going to talk about.Taha Hinengaro means your mental health as what are your emotions , Taha Whanau means your family and your friends and it goes under with Whanaungatanga / Building Relationships , Taha Tinana means your physical health like being fit and Taha Wairua means your spiritual self like do you go church.It was a reflection about if we knew what the 4 dimensions meant so I reflected with my buddy and found out what it all meant.

Student Councilors 2016

WALT introduce ourselves

This tasks is all about who got chosen to be the leaders of Tamaki Primary School 2016.There were 13 people who got chosen to be leaders at our school and we all got chosen because our applications stood out the most but what we write on our application that is what we have to show to the teachers and the students.My name is Paris and my slide is the 4 slide on the presentation.At the school assembly all the student councilors were to represent our badges and say our speech.Our badges is blue and yellow because of our school colours and it says School Leaders but we are getting new badges.The new badges is our Tamaki sign with the Sun , Mountain and the River of Tamaki Primary and under neath all that it says Student Councilors.

Today at technology me and my group has been creating a necklace for someone who we love in our family. I chose my brother because he is always there for me when I need him , he is always makes me feel happy and he knows that I love him.My necklace for my brother is a crown for a king because how he is always their for me and that he is strong enough to back me up when something is wrong and by the way this necklace of mine in my work is not the necklace I am doing for my brother it is this one.Right down below is a video on what we are doing for technology and this is our real technology teacher.

S.E.E Structure

S.E.E Structure

WALT use the S.E.E structure to answer the questions above (Why would the language of a larger or more powerful group take over the language of a smaller group)

Right now I am going to show you my S.E.E structure down below.S is Statement , E is Explaining and E is Example.I have tried to put more quality into my S.E.E structure so I can move up in my learning.
This is a level 4-6 writing tasks.

Here it is

This statement shows why a larger group has a powerful language and that can take over a smaller language with less power.

A larger group of people can take away the smaller groups powerful language and the smaller group can not take the powerful language away because they have less power

A powerful stronger language means that they can take over a smaller group of people because they have the power to take it away from them.

This is a DLO that I have created about Endangered Languages.It is a mind map and a mind map is like a brainstorm but giving more explaining like we need language because their might be a certain amount of people that speak different languages.

Definitions

WALT find the definition of the following words

At 10:07 I have created a DLO that defines what the words mean.Their are 8 words that I needed to define like Arouse , Halt , Minority and many more.It was a good research on what the expert definition means.I was working on finding out the definition for 8 words and now if the teacher asked what it means I know straight away.

WALT complete a group KWL chart about Endangered Languages

Today I have completed a task about endangered languages but using the KWL chart.I was referring about endangered languages and because I am in the highest group , Brilliant Inferences.The K means - What we already know , the W means - What we want to know and the L means - What we learnt.This was a great task because I was discovering things with my buddies.

Today at technology we created a plan on who we are going to do the necklaces for.I had selected one person to do a necklace for and it was my brother because he cares about me and he is always their when I need him.Our teacher Mr Grundy and he was telling us to finish our plans so we can get onto our creating tasks , making necklaces.It was really fun planning and creating because we got to think about who we were doing our necklaces too.

WALT to show our buddies what the school values mean

With my buddy we have both worked on what Manaakitanga means to us.Me and my buddy have worked on what Manaakitanga meant and to us it meant Helping , Caring for others , Looking after one another and Encouranging them.We both drew our hands to show that we both care for each other.I drew the hands , and the writing but what my buddy did was colouring in our hands and what the colours meant.Ana said that the colours meanest peace.I had fun with you Ana 😇😇

After we have finished the rugby maze part 1 we have completed our other task , Word Search.It took us a while to figure out where all the words are but we still had fun in a mystery time.It was so funny because one of my friends got them all wrong but at the same she had fun too and we put them in different colours so use know what words we have found 😂😂😇😇

WALT help our buddy out with their learning

Today with my buddy Ana Fehoko we have discovered how to get to the ball in 1 minute.We timed ourselves and we got to the ball in 40 seconds , it was really hard focusing because all the people around us but we managed to do it in 40 seconds.It was a great task but we got more tasks to finish.
