EOTC Week !!

WALT reflect on what we did so far at EOTC

Today 21 November, Some of the year 4-5-6-7-8 went to EOTC which stands for Education Outside The Classroom. All we did was go to Tenpin Bowling and Lazer Strike. We got put into groups of 6 because of the bowling space but we were group 12. It was a really fun day outside the classroom and I can't wait until tomorrow because we are doing mini golf.

What I think of Tamaki so far !!!

WALT reflect on what makes Tamaki special to me...

Today we got put in a group to discuss, What makes Tamaki special ?? and How can we make Tamaki a better place ?? It was a really good group discussion but I am going to use my own ideas...

What makes Tamaki Special ??
To me, Tamaki is so special because it is a school filled with mixed cultures and different things you could do. Tamaki Primary is a school that you can do lots of things and the importances of Tamaki is that we got our own school values and they are Manaakitanga, Whanaungatanga, Rangimarie, Tukumarie and Ako. Here is a list of things that I think makes Tamaki so special...

• New School Uniform
• School Values
• Student Councillors
• Teachers
• Sports
• Kiwi Can
• Kiwi Sport
• Basketball Hoop
• Meetings
• Board Of Trustees
• School Trips
• And many more...

How can we make Tamaki a better place ??

I think there are many things that we can make Tamaki a better place but to me there are only like 11 things on my mind that I think will make Tamaki a better place. Here is list I think can make Tamaki a better place...

• No tagging on our school building
• No vandalising our school equipment
• More classrooms
• A senior park
• Longer and Wider hallways
• More P.E equipment
• Heaps of security cameras
• More helping hands
• Doing your best
• Never giving up
• Learn from your mistakes

The Unknown Forest

WALT practice for our narrative writing

From tuesday until now I had written a story of the picture down on the last slide. It is about a girl with a red hoodie roaming the forest but my story is about a girl who wakes up in the middle of the forest from her sleep. She finds a dragon and helps it, she trips up from a tree, she see's a bunch of people and she helps the hostages from behind the devil people. I hope you enjoy reading my story.

Celebrations

WALT list down some of the things we do in a celebration

All I think of when I hear the word celebration is having fun, enjoying time, getting along and spending time with your friends or family. Celebrations can be known as Birthdays, Family Meetings, Graduation, Honey moons and many more but there is only one thing people love to do, a birthday party. Have you been to a birthday party before? What do you hear at a celebration? And why does celebrations happen?... To me I think celebrating is like showing respect to someone on their special something and a celebration is a day where kids get heaps of food while their parents are outside drinking and having a peaceful day. The only thing kids want on a celebration is munchies and presents but that’s what happens when you have your own special day.

Maori Researching

WALT reflect on our maori culture

Today our class Room 9 & 10 presented their work , that they have been researching about their culture and my culture was the Maori tribe.It was a really hard task to do because of the information I had to do when I was researching about the maori culture.There are information that tells you about how John Key sometimes treats the maori tribe eg-NO Waitangi day and No cooking hangi in the ground.There is going to be more information on the google slides then there is on the description.

Terrific Technology

WALT reflect on technology

Today at technology I have been creating necklaces for my brother.It was a kings crown and when I cut the necklace it was how I wanted it and it was a big mess up.Their were heaps of people who have finished their cutting out part but they are now on to the filing part / fixing it up part because the metal is now put in the cardboard.

S.E.E Structure

S.E.E Structure

WALT use the S.E.E structure to answer the questions above (Why would the language of a larger or more powerful group take over the language of a smaller group)

Right now I am going to show you my S.E.E structure down below.S is Statement , E is Explaining and E is Example.I have tried to put more quality into my S.E.E structure so I can move up in my learning.
This is a level 4-6 writing tasks.

Here it is

This statement shows why a larger group has a powerful language and that can take over a smaller language with less power.

A larger group of people can take away the smaller groups powerful language and the smaller group can not take the powerful language away because they have less power

A powerful stronger language means that they can take over a smaller group of people because they have the power to take it away from them.
